Any person, company, or contractor who provides 10 or more workmen / labour to another company is required to obtain a Labour License Registration in India.
As per the Bare Act, the provisions apply to every establishment or contractor employing 10 or more workers as contract labour on any day during the preceding 12 months.
Registration is mandatory for the principal employer to legally employ 10 or more contract labourers.
